Apply and/or Enroll:
Active-duty Army and activated Army National Guard and Reservists are required to apply and enroll through the GoArmyEd portal at www.goarmyed.com.
Inactive Guard may apply to and enroll in Empire State College using the college's normal application and enrollment procedures. Please see the applicable page to apply for undergraduate study or graduate study.

Receive Up-Front Tuition Assistance:
In order to receive up-front tuition assistance, active-duty Army and activated Army National Guard and Reservists are required to apply and enroll through the GoArmyEd portal at www.goarmyed.com. Effective October 1, 2009, inactive reservists also will be required to apply and enroll through the portal. Inactive Army National Guard students receive tuition assistance from the state and, therefore, can apply and enroll directly through the center of their choice.
Process for soldiers to receive up-front Tuition Assistance when attending non-LOI schools is as follows:
Soldiers:
- Complete a TA Request Form via the GoArmyEd portal
- Provide the form to the school after receiving Army approval
- Register for the class directly with the school
GoArmyEd:
- Approve Tuition Assistance to Soldier at the time of enrollment
- Pay school invoices electronically
- Automatically recoup TA from Soldier for failed classes
