Cisco and the New York Academy of Sciences have announced two new partners, the City of Buenos Aires, Argentina and the State University of New York (SUNY), which will join The Global STEM Alliance. Cisco and the New York Academy of Sciences have established the Global STEM Alliance to bring curriculum resources, inter-generational mentorship and access to science and technology research to students around the world. The country of Malaysia and The City of Barcelona were the first to join the Alliance in October this year.

Empire State College will be closed on Christmas Day, Wednesday, Dec. 25, and on New Year's Day, Jan. 1, 2014. The college will be minimally staffed on Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 23 and 24, on Thursday and Friday, Dec. 26 and 27, and on Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 30 and 31. Please check with your local center to find out if services for students will be available on those days.
