By Joe Boudreau, coordinator for special programs and student retention, Center for Distance Learning

January 9, 2013

The Center Development Committee at Empire State College’s Center for Distance Learning will host the third Annual Digital Photo Exhibit and Social Hour on Feb. 14, 2013, noon-3:30 p.m., 113 West Ave., Saratoga Springs. Members of the community across the state and around the world are invited to submit a photo from your own personal collection and join us to celebrate the richness and creativity of our college community.

Share Your Photo!

Our photo exhibit intends to showcase talent and perspective from the wider Empire State College community across the state and abroad. Please join us on this day as we share our photos, ideas and knowledge. Chabrielle Schultze, an instructor for the Center for Distance Learning course, "The Photographic Vision," will discuss the ins and outs of taking a great photo, and demonstrate how technology can enhance our images.

Submission categories include:

  • people: pictures of people you know, or those you don't
  • places: pictures of places you've been and would like to share
  • things: pictures of objects, angles, or other unique visuals
  • diversity: photos that capture our diverse, rich world.

To have your photos included in this event, please submit no more than five related to any of the categories listed above in JPEG format (150-300 dpi) by Monday, Jan. 14, 2013 to cdlexhibit@esc.edu

Please submit photos in the following file name format:  "FIRSTNAME.LASTNAME.CATEGORY.JPEG"

Faculty, staff, students and alumni are invited to contribute their own photographs for this event. Early submissions are encouraged!

If you have any questions, please contact Joe Boudreau, Anita Lindemann, Thalia MacMillan or Jeannine Mercer of the photo exhibit subcommittee at cdlexhibit@esc.edu
