Over one thousand students and alumni are taking advantage of the new online resume service. The online version of a career services center was first offered to alumni and then expanded to students. The career management platform helps students who are developing their resumes and showcasing their credentials.

Paul Rehac ’09, and a current graduate student said, “For job seekers who have not looked at their resume in a long time, the process can be daunting. Optimal Resume helped me to organize my talents and skills in a contemporary style that helped me to stand out in an extremely competitive market. Thanks to the Optimal Resume, I got the first interview and ultimately a dream job."

Optimal Resume describes their services in the following way:

  • Create high-impact, interactive career materials based on your career goals
  • Present your materials online — with our easy-to-use Website builder — and in print, as you can download your materials in a number of formats
  • Manage an unlimited number of career documents from one central location
  • Share your credentials with your network on your own professional Website and across social networking sites

Students and alumni can develop their cover letter, portfolio, resume, even a video resume, as well as their own Website by using this service. In addition, there are tools for skills assessment and interview preparation.

The Office of Collegewide Student Services and Alumni and Student Relations are happy to continue to provide this service to all of our students and alumni.
