USW-ICD Distance Learning Program

The USW-ICD Distance Learning Program is a distance learning program coordinated by Empire State College and the Institute for Career Development, Inc. (a joint venture of the International USWA and 13 major steel producing companies).

The USW-ICD Distance Learning Program offers associate (A.A., A.S.) and bachelor's (B.A., B.S., B.P.S.) degrees in 12 major academic areas, including business, management and economics; community and human services; interdisciplinary studies; labor studies; public affairs; and science, mathematics and technology. We also offer 10 master's degrees and 14 graduate level certificates.

Empire State College is accredited by the Middle States Commision on Higher Education and is recognized as a world leader in serving the adult learner. 

Terms are 15 weeks long and begin in September, November, January, March and May. We now offer eight week courses during the May term.
