Paying Back Your Education Loan? Top 10 Things Every Borrower Should Know
“Paying Back Your Education Loan? Top 10 Things Every Borrower Should Know” is the topic of a free, one-hour workshop at the Empire State Plaza location, Concourse Level (next to SEFCU) at noon, Wednesday, April 10.
Statistics show that most students take out loans to cover part of their college bill. Parents are borrowing in record numbers as well. Repaying those loans can take 10 years or more. This session will feature a discussion of critical information that all borrowers should know.
Speakers include a federal loan servicing contractor for the U.S. Education Department, Anne Del Plato, regional director for Nelnet Education Loan Servicing, who oversees Nelnet school services in New York state and western Pennsylvania. She has 35 years of experience in financial aid, which includes working in college aid offices, for the state of New York, and in a lending and servicing organization. An experienced college director of financial aid also will be present.
Questions will be welcome.
Seating is limited.
