New York City Offices Suspend Operations for Monday - Long Island Anticipates Opening
(SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Nov. 4, 2012) The Hartsdale and Nanuet offices of SUNY Empire State College will suspend operations for Monday Nov. 5, 2012.
Operations have been suspended because power at these two locations has not yet returned. Resumption of service is anticipated to return to Nanuet sometime on Nov. 7 and the estimated date for Hartsdale is Nov. 9.
Hudson Valley Regional Center Dean Gary Lacy has been working to provide temporary office space in the college’s Newburgh Office for displaced faculty with the understanding that many are still without power and that transportation remains challenging due to the interruption in the availability of gasoline.
The college’s New York City offices have also suspended operations for Monday Nov. 5.
On Long Island, the college anticipates opening its Old Westbury, Hauppauge and Riverhead offices.
