July 29, 2011
(7/29/11) The SUNY Board of Trustees has approved and the State Legislature has passed a plan that gradually increases tuition rates over a five-year span. The first-year increase goes into effect with the September 2011 term, which starts September 12, and for which registration is underway.
Students who have already registered should go to www.esc.edu/myesc to log into their accounts and review the anticipated changes to their tuition bill that will result from the tuition increase. The adjusted tuition rates were updated in the registration system July 28, 2011. Thus, students who registered for the September term on or before that date will see changes in their tuition charges.
Those students who are planning to register for the September term or thereafter, but haven’t yet done so, should go to www.esc.edu/tuition for the new tuition schedule.
Prospective students interested in learning more about Empire State College and tuition costs, should visit suny-empire.esc.edu.
Military students will receive program-specific details from Empire State College’s Office of Veteran and Military Education shortly. In the meantime, military students can direct questions to the Office of Veteran and Military Education by telephone at 518-587-2100 ext. 2779 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
This new approach to predictable tuition changes will allow students to plan for tuition costs while allowing SUNY Empire State College to continue offering high-quality and flexible educational opportunities to adult learners at reasonable prices. Please remember, that tuition and fees at all SUNY institutions are subject to change.
