FAFSA PIN: The first step in the application process for federal student aid is to apply for a PIN. The PIN serves as the student's signature on the FAFSA and online MPN. A parent signature will be required for dependent students. You only need to apply for a PIN once in your college career. You may request a new PIN if you have forgotten your PIN or think someone else knows your PIN.
FAFSA: Link to the federal Department of Education's online application (Empire State College federal code = 010286) and complete the appropriate FAFSA. If you plan on attending Empire State College for enrollments beginning on or after May 20, 2013, please be sure to complete the FAFSA for 2013-2014.
